THE EVENT:

Fifteen years ago, a truly sweet holiday tradition was born in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. The Mount Washington Valley Inn-to-Inn Cookie Tour showcases some of the area’s most engaging Inns. On both Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 11 AM and 4 PM, this self-guided tour will treat your senses . . . enjoy the fragrances of pine trees, greens and the confections of the season . . . savor the tastes of sugars and spice and yule-tide treats. . . collect a sampling of winter music, laughter, and the crunch of snow . . . feel the warmth of the fires, the bracing mountain air, handshake greetings melting into fond farewell hugs . . . but most of all be engulfed by the sights of Inns festooned for their guests’ enjoyment. Each sharing their own holiday magic, traditions, and spirit. The perfect inspiration to kick off the coming weeks of baking, gifting and celebrating with family and friends.

Spicing up the celebration this year will be an array of tabletop trees each decorated using the theme 'Let It Snow'.  Displayed along the tour throughout the inns, the trees will be locally sponsored and prepared in hopes that you and fellow ticket holders will choose them among the best . . . popular vote will decide and the winner's prize money will go to their designated local charity. What better holiday activity than to combine joy, giving, and sweets into a brand new old-fashioned tradition?

Once again, this season will feature an ornament and our Grand Prize. Not only will each ticket holder completing the entire tour receive the fifth in a series of keepsake brass ornaments, but guests staying at participating inns for two or more nights will be entered in a drawing for a grand prize expected to be worth over $1000.

Make reservations early!
Advance tickets available only through a lodging package of an inn on tour. The Tour sold out last season, so don’t be disappointed. Guarantee your tickets by booking a stay at the Notchland Inn.

Holiday Shopping:
During your visit for the Holiday Cookie Tour, plan to take some time to do some holiday shopping --- Tax Free --- at a variety of name-brand outlets, specialty shops, boutiques and galleries.

Cut-Your-Own Tree:
For the freshest, most fragrant and often more affordable Christmas tree, cut your own. There are a number of tree farms in our area where you can cut your own fresh tree to take home. Plan a visit earlier in the season and tag one for them to ship to you. Many also offer horse-drawn wagon rides, bonfires, gifts, garlands and wreaths. A true New England holiday experience.

Early Season Skiing:
Most downhill mountains are open by mid-December with a combination of man-made and natural snow cover. Most often Mother Nature has provided enough snow cover for nearby cross country trails to also be groomed for your exploration.
